Our Team
Dr. Camille Koontz
Founder & Medical Director
I am interested in being the change I wish to see in the American Healthcare System with an emphasis on individualizing medicine and teaching patients how to choose healthy ways of living every day. I want to nip chronic diseases in the bud and help those already suffering from them reverse the damage. I do this using gentle, natural medicines and encouraging the innate healing ability of the body to work its magic. I take into account all dimensions and levels of the individual: spiritual, emotional, physical, and energetic.

Health Coach & Office Manager
I am your Coach on your journey to optimal health. What’s that mean? You’re not alone.
The biggest value that drives my actions is for others to feel their very best, inside and out. I want you to be comfortable in your own skin. Sometimes our health doesn’t allow us that, sometimes our modern medical system doesn’t allow us that. Sometimes, we don’t need another pill and to be shuttled in and out of the doctor’s office in less than 10 minutes…all we need is someone to listen.
My health journey started many years ago when I was just a child. My most recent powerful moment was 12 years ago. A boil-like rash spread from shoulder to shoulder - nowhere else. It was painful, embarrassing, and I was stumped. I went to the dermatologist 1x a month for eight months trying to figure it out. 10 minutes every time. Walking out with a new prescription. Through pills, steroid creams, skin scrapes, and biopsies, the rash remained status quo. Finally, in the 8th month, the doc slapped his head, took the third biopsy, and said, “we need to test for celiac.”
Within two weeks of my cutting out gluten and wheat - no pills, no creams - the rash was gone. It was at this moment I knew the healing power of food. And from this point on, I believe in a food-first, lifestyle approach.
Our entire team is here to work WITH you, to support you on this journey. We want you to feel better than you've ever felt in your lives - and that feeling is possible.
Feeling confident in your health, in your skin is possible. It is your right as a human. That first step can be scary - but know you are not alone, and you have people that are listening.

Wellness Advocate
In today's world, where patients often navigate complex prescriptions and therapies on their own, I believe our bodies have the potential to be their own best healers when guided with the right knowledge and support. Having been diagnosed with a chronic illness at a young age, I've learned firsthand that while some aspects of health are beyond our control, the most valuable gift we can give ourselves is to actively work toward improving our overall well-being.
Since my diagnosis, I’ve been dedicated to reversing and altering my disease outcome. My mission now is to help others discover the value of enhancing their health through functional medicine. As a passionate advocate for wellness, I aim to empower individuals to achieve their health goals by integrating traditional and functional medicine.
In this rapidly evolving landscape of health and wellness, I am committed to deepening my expertise to provide you with the most effective and holistic care. I am here to guide and support you on this transformative journey, ensuring you receive comprehensive and personalized care.

Wellness Assistant
I have been a resident of beautiful Bellingham since 1998. After attending Western Washington
University for journalism I took an interest in health and wellness while working in a gym
throughout my college years. My interest also came from combining exercise with enjoying the
outdoors in ways such as mountain biking and snowboarding. After a small stint as a personal
trainer, I went to massage school at Whatcom Community College and opened my own studio
in the gym that I worked at previously as a receptionist. Working with athletes of all kinds and
fitness motivated gym members, I dove into combining my fitness knowledge with helping
people recover and optimize their fitness journeys through deep tissue and injury treatment
bodywork. After 20 years of demanding bodywork I looked elsewhere to see if I could still work
within the health and wellness community in Bellingham and make use of my past knowledge
and experience. I found Resilience Natural Medicine and became a part of the team in July
2024. My personal health journey started when I saw multiple family members struggling with
health issues and did not want to go down the same path. Working out, eating healthy and
creating a balance in life became a priority to me in my young adult years. I look forward to
being part of our members’ health journey and watching them succeed in their health goals.
